Global warming, yes please…

5.30pm tonight.  The clocks went back at the weekend and on cue, in comes some beautiful weather.  Some strange colour balance going on as well.  The top middle image had a distinct colour cast to it, not like a typical, orangey lamp post.  Never seen that before…

James Nachtwey, XDR-TB

Take a look at this gallery at xdrtb.org.  The photographer, James Nachtwey, was awarded a TED prize in 2007 and used this to document the spread of extremely drug-resistant TB, particularly amongst HIV/AIDS patients.  Pretty strong images which, in my opinion, sum up what photojournalism is all about.
