Mark Rogers
I heard over the weekend that Mark Rogers, who worked at Poseidon Divers in Dahab, Egypt, and was one of our models for ‘Go Dive’, was recently killed in a diving incident at the Blue Hole.
This site is one of those places that seems to claim a few lives every year - Mark was actually one of the local divers that was often called upon to recover bodies from the deep section of the site. Take a look at Mark in his element here. Very sad news indeed.
Edit - Dorling Kindersley, the publishers of ‘Go Dive’, have dedicated the book in Mark’s memory. Most of the photos in this book were taken during our trip to Dahab with Mark and the other models, early this year.
